Lauren Davies Singing

I’m a professional Singing Coach, Accent & Dialect Coach and Musical Director who can help you discover your best vocal potential.

I teach singing and spoken voice at some of the country’s top drama schools, including Bird College, Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Bristol Institute of Performing Arts, Wales Academy of Voice and Dramatic Arts, Bristol School of Acting and have musically directed projects at Arts Ed & LAMDA.

As an experienced vocal and performance coach, I’ve helped clients secure places at many of the UK’s leading drama schools, such as the Royal Academy of Music, Mountview, the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Bird College, East 15, GSA, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and more. I specialise in coaching professional musical theatre performers, actors, and those preparing for drama school auditions.

I’ve had the pleasure of musically directing over 50+ musical theatre shows and cabarets at venues such as Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, the Bristol Hippodrome, and Tobacco Factory Theatres. I’m also a keyboard player signed with Ear Candy and the Blue Lion agency and have performed with various groups, including big bands, jazz ensembles, festival bands, and am a choir leader.

My mission is to empower every client to unlock their full vocal potential by providing a nurturing and supportive environment. Through expert training in vocal technique, stamina, and vocal health, I help performers build the strength and confidence needed to excel both on stage and in life. I have a Masters in Professional Voice from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, am Estill trained and Vocal Health First Aid trained. Whether you're preparing for a drama school audition or aiming to refine your professional craft, my goal is to develop versatile, resilient vocal athletes who can confidently share their stories and command the stage.

Vocal Health First Aid

Estill Voice Training, developed by Jo Estill, forms the foundation of my coaching methodology. This scientifically based approach focuses on understanding and enhancing vocal structures and functions. It emphasises anatomy, physiology, and acoustics, offering singers a systematic framework for skill development.

This programme explored phonetics and accents, preparing me to instruct on various accents and dialects. With a focus on the speaking voice and presentation skills, it enables me to collaborate with professionals across sectors. Additionally, I wrote a research paper on inclusivity for non-binary students in voice classes.

I am a vocal health first aider, equipped with the expertise to recognise signs of vocal dysfunction and guide individuals toward recovery or professional support. Vocal health has always been central to my practice, and I strive to drive positive change in an industry that often leads singers towards exhaustion and vocal burnout.
